Mothers Day 2007

I realize I haven't really blooged in the last couple weeks so this will be my attempt to catch up.

Porter is fast becoming more than a handful. I received a phone call from our neighbor Preston Bitner who asked about Porter's career as a streaker. He went on to say that Porter was naked in our driveway dancing around. He figured I didn't know and that is why it happened. Nothing is becoming unbelievable anymore with him.

Janalynn is doing much better, the weight continues to drop, I don't know the exact number right now, her ankle seems to being doing okay and her body seems to be getting used to surgery and the 1/4 cup.

Yesterday we went out for mother's day and saw Spiderman 3. We ate at Costa Vida(the cafe rio ripoff) I just ordered a burrito and shared some beans and meat with her. No soda, so we saved quite a bit. Here is my review on Spidey 3:
2 stars, Yea I know that is low but it was a weak movie. Overall the movie tried to do way too much without really doing anything at all.(That statement won't make sense until you see the show) It felt like the writer just got enough to make a few hours worth and ran with it. There were big holes in the plot, and a really bad script. The only saving grace and it is the reason the show gets 2 stars is that it had a very good message about the price of revenge and the healing power of forgiveness. So while I am appalled that this movie will go down as one of the all-time highest grossing ever, it at least has a message everyone, including myself, should hear. It suffered from some of the same problems as Spidey 2, the bad guys weren't really bad, the writing was not only bad, but cheesy. At one point I looked at Janalynn and asked if her mother, the cheesiest of all, had written the script. You can definitely check this one out on dvd and save some cash.

My cousin Daniel Lawler and his doubles partner Ryan Wong won the state 5A tennis doubles championship. Here is a shout out to them. Great job, I am wondering if anyone related to me has ever won a state championship? Certainly not anyone who has gone to Granite lately.

After a week of leaks and set backs I finally got the swamp cooler running. There was a point in my life when I thought setting up other people's swamp coolers would be an easy good job. Not so after this last week. Everyday was a setback and a problem. It is finally going.

After my last post I checked to see which teams would be playing the Red Sox while I was there and found that none would be. They start a long road trip the day I arrive. Bummer. Maybe I can get there a day early or something.
