Musings on the past week

2012 the movie was so bad it seemed like a spoof, sad thing it was not. I couldn't handle it, had to get up and leave a few times. Bad acting, bad scripts, dumb plot. Seemed a lot like war of the worlds with the deadbeat dad that doesn't get along with his kids and end of the world. That movie was way better and that's saying something

Pat's BBQ in Salt Lake has been on Diners, Drive ins, and Dives so we went there after the Ute game last week. Best BBQ I have ever had. Ribs were divine, brisket was wonderful, pork was good, sauces were incredible. Jumbalaya was so, so good. Give it a shot. Oh, by the way don't the location scare you off, because believe me it could;)

Kelsey went snowboarding yesterday. No matter how much I tried to warn her she thought everything would be fine, she hurt her wrist, was told to stop wanted to keep going, complaining she could still go, today can't move cause she is so sore and stiff.

Nice to see Mehmet Okur hitting shots again. Deron is important, Boozer is important, AK is important, but to go anywhere in the playoffs Memo has to be playing well.

I love cheering for the Jazz to win simulataneously rooting for the Knicks to lose so the Jazz get a better draft pick and playoff spot.

Modern Family is the funniest show on tv. Sorry Office, although the breast feeding incident was funny.

Haven't seen Hurt Locker, sure its good, but Avatar is a game changer, coolest movie ever(as of typing this)

Tomorrow begins a month long of elections at the jr. high. When its done I am going on my golf trip to St. George.

Speaking of golf...I have been playing now for a year and a half, I have read everything I could get my hands on, I have played a lot, received some good and bad instruction, but as with most things I have to figure things out for myself. My problem for a while has been tempo, I always rush my downswing. So a few weeks ago I decided to slow it down at the top of the downswing. Now my swing is much smoother and straighter and yes even further. Funny that to speed up I had to slow down. Counter intuitive, no wonder it took me so long.

Glad I have the 11-2 block for church again. Its nice.
