Wow! I have watched a lot of basketball, played a lot and I am not sure that I remember seeing a guy not only relish the crunch time shots like Memo does but also be able to deliver. Note: I guess I need to clarify and say that I do not put Michael Jordan in this conversation, he is on a different level. As far as Jazz players go, Stockton was clutch, Horny was good, Karl was not, but I am not sure if any of them were as good as Memo is, he is just amazing. His best performance was probably the Memphis game we lost, that was unreal, I mean it was unreal. He was hitting shots from the parking lot with guys in his grill. Against the Spurs he did it and then again tonight. My bold thought on Memo is he is probably the most underrated player in the league right now.
A few game thoughts:
First of all no one other than Memo should be taking the potential game winner.
How does Phoenix run a play for Diaw at the end? Not only is it not Nash, but he is terrible from the line.
Not even the home cooking in Phoenix could bring down this team.
D Will has now entered the best point guard in the league conversation. (After Nash of course, but on par with Paul now)
Two huge wins without Booz, now if they only could not play down to their competition.
Nice to see Raja lose, again.
How good would this team be with a reliable 2 guard?
Now time for superbowl talk. Convential wisdom says the Colts, but the Bears have beaten the odds all year. My gut tells me Manning is gonna play great. I think the Colts will win and honestly as much as I love rooting against them; Dungy, Manning, and Harrison are as classy as they come, I have no problem with them winning. As far as karma goes allowing Tank Johnson to play may doom the Bears. I am hoping for a good game, I will be rooting for the Bears, I really like Lovie Smith, I was sad the day he left the Rams. Final Score: Colts 30 Bears 16
