Classic Skating

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. I could describe how crowded it was, of course this is because it was free night for the elementary school.

There was a lot of people there. And then there were a lot of kids. Within two minutes of being there, Porter was crying cause he couldn't use the scooter all that well, and Natalie had me paged to the front cause she didn't know where I was. I guess you could say this was an omen as to how the night would go, but it got a lot better. We sat by Mosa and his crew, he was doing the single dad thing as well.

Porter ended up all over the place. At one point I looked over and he was taking tokens from a girl who had put in her dollar. She had to pry them out of his hand. Another time he was taking tickets from a skee-ball that someone else had earned. Still another time he began taking the balls from someone using the skee-ball. And to top it off they had races with age groups and gender and after getting us a refill on the drinks I looked out to see Porter racing with the 12 to 15 year old boys. No one that has ever finished last has smiled quite as much. I guess this is why they have a big disclaimer saying "Don't leave your kids unattended."

I'm sure we will get to this all over again next year. Can't wait
