Boy's day out

Porter and I went to the U game today. We started out by meeting Chappo and Covili at Moochies. If you haven't eaten at Moochies you need to. They have outstanding sandwiches and great jalapeno sauce. I ordered a Rueben, which was good, but they put thousand island on it. That was different. I used the jalapeno sauce and that worked. Porter even enjoyed his part.

The game itself started bad, 10-0, but the Utes got it going and pulled it out. Here are my notes:
Coach Boylen is all over the place. The man has passion and lots of it.

Porter wanted to go almost right after the tip. He made it to the end, and was a trooper, but I'm not sure if I would do it again. Of course that is the first game he has been to, so its hard to say.

I bought him a Utah bat and ball, he saw it on the way in and begged for the entire first half. I figured he had to get something in order to want to go again.

I was all for the 100 top players in Utah history until they said Brandon Sluga. Did he ever play?

Of the top 100 Paul Grant my mission president was there, his son Josh who made the top 16 of all time, and my high school history teacher Charlie Whiting were all there. That was cool.

The game was fun and actually a close game. Free throws were such a big part.
