Favorite School Story of the Year (so far)

I don't usually talk about the goings on at school unless there is something unique, funny, or just plain outrageous. This almost falls into all those categories. Ms. Woolf told the story in our meeting. A little background: the 7th grade boy's bathroom had been tagged with grafitti for about a week. Finally the students were warned by admin. that if they continued tagging the bathroom would be closed. So of course it was hit again. The bathroom was then closed. A few days later another bathroom was hit. This really frustrated admin and everyone.

Ms. Woolf was in the hall when three of the usual suspects approached her. "We need to have a serious talk with you." Ms. Woolf smiled at had them come to her office. Once there they told her how upset they were about this whole thing and that it wasn't any of their guys. (of note-- the tagging in question was of a gang name to which the boys belonged) They felt they were being set up, framed if you will. Which in all honesty sounds rather smart when you think about it.

They continued proclaiming their innocence and stating they had nothing to do with it, nor anyone in their crew. They said they didn't like the tagging in the school and wanted to see it stopped as much as anyone. With Ms. Woolf's help they discussed ways to prevent this from happening again in the future. They were having a very productive discussion.

Finally at the end of the meeting one of the boys said, "And plus Ms. Woolf you know it wasn't us, we would have done a better job. Their letters were are swirly, our letters are neater."

There isn't much to say after that discussion.
