I have contacted some people to post on here and have a weekly forum on the office. I know NBC has one but there is like 10 million people on there I don't know, so I thought we could try here, so get all your office friends and have them post. Admittedly, I need to watch the episode again so I may add more to this later tonight if I have time to watch it again.
First off I was glad to see my Carol (Christmas Carol) question answered. Personally I like him trying to get Jan. It is just a better fit for the show. The Christmas card was, how can I say it, stunning. Very bold indeed.
Dwight vs. Andy is a riot. Dwight's comment about how good looking Carol is was a classic. I will track down the exact line later on.
Karen and Pam is a new twist I didn't see coming, apparently neither did Jim. It only makes sense that the two would be friends. I like this, I think it has completely awkward moment potential coming. I did like when Karen told Pam she should go after Roy. That was nice.
Jim obviously hasn't forgiven Pam as he blew her off and pulled rank on her with her Christmas present. I will say the ending was great. Dwight on the roof, ditching his phone, classic. This is getting back to what makes the office great. More Dwight.
Dwight's karaoke was terrible, Angela's was worse. I really want to see Phyllis stand up to Angela at some point. We kind of have an Angela at the school. I am sure she was on the Christmas party planning committee. BTW, tomorrow is our party, I am sure she will be behind it. She's a little like Martha Stewart and Angela mixed, so you can imagine how much fun she is to be around.
Loved Kevin's dilemma bet. double chocolate brownies and Angela.
Michael marking the waitress' arm was maybe the moment of the night.

After watching the commercials I have a thought on the new show Identity, I predict it gets canceled quick. This looks like the most stupid game show I've ever seen.
So let's get to the part everyone will be talking about; Jim's comments about the "rebound" ah yes. I have to say I have been very happy that Jim hasn't come running back to Pam, at the same time he knows she is the one he wants. Karen is rebound. His outward response led to him going back to Pam and accepting her Christmas present. That was nice. I am guessing they have some awkward moments planned ahead with the Jim/Pam/Karen threesome, and that maybe by the end of the year, we will have JAM again. I hope they drag it out as long as Jim will have fun with Pam, the end gave me hope.

I am going to add a link I found to a JAM video. Tell me what you think, you can't help but feel for both of them. C'mon Pam make the move.

Overall it was about as good as any episode this year, still no real drop dead funny shows yet. I will say I am happy everyone is in Scranton. I am guessing that it was Jan who accepted Michael's offer. That has potential. Creed taking the gift and his karaoke was nice. Kelly had a good voice. I liked Michael's entourage moment, only Dwight wants to be a part of that. It was a good episode, can't wait to watch it again.

I hate when Jim is not the same with Pam, that is what I loved so much from before. But from what I hear, that is how a true man would react so I have to accept it and wait for the trio to create tension in the office...I would make friends with my enemy too, it is a good tactic.
Jared called it weeks ago: Where is Carol? More Dwight. More Dwight and the other guy (I can't remember his name...#3). More Jim and Pam. This was a great episode and I can't wait to see it again...
I have not been happy with the Office this season. Infact, I'd reather watch CSI:Miami. I'll take H's dramatic one liners over Dwight's rediculously drawn out psychotic remarks. However, Hallelujah for the Christmas episode...I actually laughed...several times. Jared pretty much summarized it all. Best part...deffinately MIchael's labeling of his "girlfriend" with a black line. ANd don't forget the missing extention chord's hiding place scene. Beautiful.
On another note, so many tv shows out there to watch and I see no mention of....The OC. If you want great humor...this is a show to have an affair with. (I'm being serious too...it's hilarious!)
This episode was great! It finally feels like the characters are meshing again!
I love the Michael/Andy connection. Their interaction is hilarious! I loved when they came strolling into the party with the two waitresses! And he gave her the bike! Why not? And yes, the marker part was the best part of the whole show.
I, too, think things are going to get awkward with Pam and Karen. If Pam and Jim get together will Karen stick around? I liked that Pam and Karen are friends, though! They are funny! I like Karen (she's Italian :)) but she's not Pam. Jim still loves Pam and that was apparent in his talk with Michael.
Could Michael be a bigger idiot when it comes to relationships? He is ridiculous! But who was that phone call to at the end? What is Jan? Is she going to Jamaica with him? Interesting!
I have always liked CSI Miami, especially H and his one liners.
I hope Jan goes to Sandals that would get us back to the Jan/Michael stuff, which is my favorite. I will say my fave episode of all time was the Chilis episode with the client, pure genius. Let's get back to that.
The OC could be comedy, but that would be unintentional humor, which is still funny and at times more funny than sitcoms, but the drama is too much.
Here is the real kicker though, today at our Christmas party we had "A Nutcracker Christmas" I could barely hold it in. We all clapped when they announced who was on the planning committee, another funny moment. On the way out I talked to Cindy Moyle, the librarian, who watched her first office episode last night, and she said next year we'll have a more fun party in the library. That's funny for a few reasons, but I'm not sure hers would be more fun. Since when has the library or a librarian for that matter been fun. The words are opposites, not synonyms.
Thanks for posting, keep it up and get more to post here, I want to make this fun.
Did anyone watch the video link, it will make you ache for JAM?
NO Way did you have a Nutcracker Christmas!! Who is the Angela on the planning committee? I would guess names but I'm afraid some of them know about your blog. Don't want to get in trouble. Steph Doyle right?! :)
Steph is posted as mocktail, as far as getting in trouble, I don't really care, check out the Hell(fire) post, I just want to hear your guesses.
