"that kid that jumped out of the 2nd story window!"

I have decided that there is a whole lot of great stuff that happens at the Jr. High that I need to mention. Yesterday, Ms. Prina, a rookie teacher, had to make a couple extra copies in the room next to her, she left her class for just a few minutes, but in that time one of the students jumped from the second story. Now I checked the drop it is a good 20 feet. Unbelievable! The only reason he got caught was because the teacher underneath saw his feet dangling down. Prina came back only to watch this kid get carted off to the office, wondering "What the...?!" Then she found out this kid jumped out the window. Can you imagine being a rookie teacher and having that happen? I'd be scared out of my wits.

So let's talk about this kid. He got suspended, but he can wear that like a badge of honor, I mean he'll be known forever as "that kid that jumped out of the 2nd story window!" Any boy would take that suspension to go down in history the way he will forever in Matheson lore.

Of course I couldn't leave this alone. As I was walking down the hall Prina's class was in the hall on their break. She walked into the bathroom. I saw my chance. As the kids migrated back in the room they talked about the jumper. I said, "Let's play a trick on Ms. Prina." She has a backroom that I let two of the kids into. The rest I had crowd around the window. I left without her seeing me. Let's just say the kids played it up real well. She came back and saw them around the window and they told her that these two kids had just jumped. You can imagine a million thoughts going through her mind; "I'm gonna get fired, Why are these kids jumping out my window?, What am I doing wrong?" Now she couldn't really tell the office cause she was worried she would get in trouble, so she blew it off. Honestly, I don't know what I would do. The kids went as far as to say that they could see the two running around outside. So for about ten minutes they play this up. Then the two snuck back in their seats. She was stunned, and then they ratted me out. Oh well can't take life too seriously or we'll end up a bitter old grumpy teacher. Gotta have fun especially in the jr. high
