Robbie's Baptism: An Eventful Day

I took a lot of pics today so I am gonna blog and throw in some photos.

I took the dogs for a haircut so we'll start with that pic.

Porter ran through the sprinklers today. He got on his skin tight swimsuit that is really a life preserver to do it, instead of just trunks. On a side note, Porter told Janalynn he pooped on the lawn. She asked me about it, I asked him and he said he did. He showed it to me, and yes it is true he pooped on the lawn. I got to shovel up his stuff and put it with the dogs. We had a talk about pooping in the toilet after that. Ah the great conversations you get to have with your 3 year old son.

Porter and I drove to the baptism. This is how I found him when I got there.

I need to add a quick story about getting to the baptism. I just figured it would be held at Robbie's church. I was wrong. When I pulled up and saw no cars I knew I was in trouble. I had no cell phone and everyone that would have known where to go was already there. I drove around for a while and I finally I had an idea. Call it inspiration. I thought if I could get into Rob's house there had to be a copy of the invitation with the correct address somewhere. Rob's door was locked the back gate as well, so I had to jump the fence, and then I found the back door locked as well. Luckily they had left and invitation on the counter and had it turned just enough that I could make out 6000 West. I need to add a couple things here; the reason the invitation was on the counter was because it fell out of Robbie's book, also I had an eye exam and got new contacts yesterday, without the new contacts I never would have been able to see 6000 West. I couldn't make out the rest. In fact no one else could make it out when we got back. So we raced to 6000 West, went to the wrong church to begin with and then found it, right about went Robbie was to get baptized.

I need to talk about my pickle loving niece now. Robbie has always been a favorite cousin for our kids. She used to idolize Kelsey, now Natalie idolizes her. I am truly glad I was able to be there, I feel that it was "meant to be." We all love Robbie, and were glad to support her.

Here are some pics from the after party
