So here we are for the third time trying to get this ankle fixed. In case you missed the original Big Break back in May here is the link. Janalynn had been complaining that her ankle was swelling up and in she was in a lot of pain, so last week she got an MRI, yesterday they examined it and discovered; torn ligaments, chipped bone, screws needing replacing, a lot to cleam up, and a near ruptured achilles. I can't even begin to think how bad it would have been had that ruptured. This year may have been too much, but luckily the doc knew what to do and today she went under the knife and the doc did all he wanted to do. Now if it will just heal.
Whenever you go under, and I have only done this once(earlier this year with the wisdom teeth), you come out a little loopy. This is kinda the fun time for those of us who waited during the surgery. Janalynn has always been prone to loopiness, today was no different. She said things like, "There's a dragon on little red riding hood." As well as asking me at least ten times, some of the time maybe a minute after the time before if the doctor had spoken to me, or how long the surgery was. She even told the nurse that "I think you were a nice nurse." on the way out. It is a funny thing what going under can do to us.
