Stranger than Fiction

To begin with when I first saw the promo for this movie I was intruiged. Clever. Fresh. New. That's what I was thinking. Admittedly I am not a Will Ferrell fan, I think he is too silly, but in this he was great. Overall the acting was superb. The movie contained all of my three essentials for success. Good characters/actors , good script, good ending. Many movies could have been great, but the script was weak or the ending stunk. Luckily Stranger than Fiction has a good script, it kinda has to because it is supposed to be a literary work, and a good ending. Out of four I would give this three and a half. The show was thoughtful and touching. I won't say more for fear of giving away too much.

On another note, at the theater this older guy sat next to me. When he asked if the seat was taken, the woman a seat away said no. He aplogized for being a lone and I said if you're going to sit there you have to share your popcorn, half kidding, half hoping he would. Needless to say he did, and I was pleased. I hope I am so fortunate at the next movie I go to.

I am looking forward to a time when Tara and I can go to the movies again. Every time I read a movie review I'm jealous you have teenagers!
