Surf and Swim

Every other year our ward has a surf and swim party. This was the very first thing we did when we first moved into the ward, which means that we have been in the ward for two years. Wow! Time doesn't just fly it zooms.
Here are my observations:
The auto lighter fell off my grill when we were bringing it over so I had to use a lighter to ignite the burners. I had it turned up to high(hindsight) I singed all the hair on my right arm. The hair on my knuckles is gone, hand mostly, arm some, eyelashes singed. I am not going to light it again without the auto lighter.

The hot dogs that we used were as good as any, including the expensive Nathans or Hebrew National dogs. I think they were Cosco or Sam's club. They are premium beef in a blue box. Really good dogs. Everyone that had one commented on them. I noted that you didn't even need mustard.

I am not sure if our bishop got out of the water. He is a beast. He just played and played the whole time. A good portion of his time was spent launching kids into the air.

I like the design of the pool, as it has a nice sturdy, but not hard or sharp covering on the bottom of the pool as well as kids can play at their depth level. It makes it fun for everyone. I will say they use a lot of chlorine in this pool. My eyes were sensitive a few days after.

I am glad we don't have swim diapers anymore.
