Iron Man Review

Superhero movies are big right now. Can't say I have seen all of them or liked all of them. Batman rocks, Spidey is a wuss, the fantastic four was fantastically horrid, the x men were average(but since I liked them as a kid I thought it was a weak effort) I never saw superman, but I'm not really a fan. I like the guys that have to think, that don't just have to rely on some power. I guess that's why I like Batman.

As a kid I read a lot of comics mainly x men and batman, I always thought Iron Man was kinda lame, so I didn't know what to expect at the show. It was well reviewed, a 92% on Rotten Tomatoes. Let me plug rotten tomatoes, love the site, you get a lot of reviews on each movie, not just one guy, so a 92% is not only impressive, it is unheard of as well. Out of 100 people only 8 didn't like it. That's impressive.

I am not going to get into plot I will just say I liked the show, I would give it 3 out of 4 stars. That is a good rating from me. I would have given it more, but it was too predictable. That is really the flaw of the film. The acting is good, Downey gives a good performance, it has a moments of humor to offset the drama, and the story is decent. The iron man outfit rocks, it is way cool, all the technology stuff is way cool. The sarcastic computer with the English accent was well scripted. I would definitely see it again. I liked it more than I thought I would.

In case you are wondering what is in it, as far as violence and sex here ya go.
It is pg-13, but not dark like Batman, there is a scene at the start of some kissing and then the girl wakes up in bed covered by a blanket, but not wearing anything, the violence is not all that violent. In fact it is really mild for a hero movie. If your kids are into that kind of stuff this is less violent than just about any other hero show I can think of. Then again anything after Lord of the Rings is. It doesn't have a whole lot of action but it still works well. It is a good show and you will have a new superhero for your kids to collect after watching it.
