Thurs Jan 28--Turnips

To my knowledge I never had a turnip until this week. They are ugly and weird looking, perhaps that is part of the mystique. Made a recipe that was called roasted root vegetables. Have to say that I really liked the turnip. It was softer than a potato but almost had the same texture, but had a sweet flavor. Who knew? Janalynn claimed it the first to her knowledge as well. Kids ate em up. So guess what bought another one for this week.
